Nature of the Service
Worker.NG is a public directory service. Our purpose is to provide a platform where skilled artisans (“Artisans”) in Nigeria can voluntarily list their services and where potential customers (“Users”) can find them. We are an intermediary, not a party to any agreement or transaction between a User and an Artisan.
No Vetting or Endorsement
The information on an Artisan’s profile, including but not limited to their skills, experience, location, and contact details, is provided by the Artisan themselves. Worker.NG does not vet, investigate, or endorse any Artisan listed on the Service. We do not conduct background checks, verify qualifications, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services offered.
The presence of an Artisan on our platform does not constitute a recommendation or certification by Worker.NG. The star rating system is based on public feedback and is not a guarantee of future performance.
User Responsibility & Due Diligence
You, the User, are solely responsible for your interactions with any Artisan you find through the Service. We strongly urge you to exercise caution and conduct your own due diligence before hiring an Artisan, entering into any agreement, or making any payment.
Best practices include, but are not limited to:
- Requesting and verifying references.
- Asking to see examples of past work.
- Agreeing on the scope of work and pricing in writing before any work begins.
- If you must pay upfront at all, never paying the full amount for a service upfront.
- Ensuring you are comfortable with the individual before allowing them into your home or premises.
Limitation of Liability
Worker.NG is not responsible for and will not be held liable for any damages, losses, injuries, or disputes that may arise between Users and Artisans. This includes, but is not limited to, issues related to the quality of work, pricing disagreements, theft, property damage, or personal injury.
By using the Service, you agree that you are doing so at your own risk and that you release Worker.NG from any and all liability related to your use of the platform and your interactions with Artisans found through it.
